Admittedly content with the mundane, Ellie is the type that doesn’t sleep during long car rides because there is just too much to look at, even on the interstate—and the drearier and moodier the weather, the better. Ellie’s observant and introspective disposition lends itself to a quick wit coupled with a deep sentimentality and slowness to act. However, when she works with various wet and dry media, she naturally prefers to work swiftly, employing bold, decisive marks and colors. Though she thoroughly enjoys cooking good food and meandering down culinary rabbit trails in her spare time, she would be a terrible food critic because she’ll eat and like just about anything.
Ellie studied at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois, where she received her BFA in Studio Art and Graphic Design in 2017. She currently resides in Holland, Michigan where there is plenty to look at and think about.
